a)      APA conditionally approved a project and issued Permit No 2011-162.  This project is located in the Town of Fort Ann, on or near Taylor Woods Rd.  The project involves a five-lot subdivision involving wetlands.  Two of the proposed lots will be conveyed as boundary line adjustments to be merged with an adjoining parcel with no new land use or development. Two lots in Low Intensity and on lot in Rural Use are proposed for future residential development.         

b)      APA conditionally approved a project and issued Permit No 2011-198.  This project is located in the Town of Dresden, on or near North Rd. The project involves a two-lot subdivision creating two lots each with pre-existing single family dwelling creating two lots in Rural Use land use area.

 Washington County Local Development Corporation and the NY Department of State Present:

Comprehensive Planning 
Date: Monday, December 5, 2011
Time: 5:00 – 6:30 PM
Course Description: This session will include a discussion of the practical and legal benefits of adopting a comprehensive plan. Included are the importance of involving the public in the development of the plan-early on; strategies for compiling essential data to set the direction of the plan; plan contents; and steps leading to the adoption of a comprehensive plan. There will be a review of the comprehensive plan statutes as well.
Code Enforcement Officers may receive 1 hour of In-Service Credit.

Adopting and Amending Zoning
Date: Monday, December 5, 2011
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 PM
Course Description:  An examination of the origins of zoning and the purposes for adopting regulations; the role of municipal comprehensive plan; specific steps a municipality must take to prepare their first set of zoning regulations; procedures for the adoption and amendment of zoning laws and ordinances, including referral to the county planning board, public hearings, and filing requirements.
Code Enforcement Officers may receive 1 hour of In-Service Credit

Registration fee is $20 per person (includes refreshments). Registration deadline is November 30, 2011. Registration is required due to limited seating.
