A Thank You note from Hebron

Thursday, February 2nd, 2012
Town of Hebron – Supervisor’s CornerI would like to thank the near 50 people that attended our broadband round-table on January 30th.  Our discussion with Time-Warner was very constructive and we can hopefully move forward from here.  I want to thank their representatives John Mucha and Charlie O’brien for making their way to Hebron and providing for a great dialogue.   I also wish to thank Tori Riley from Washington County LDC for providing the updates on grant funding and for her efforts to help secure money to make this project happen.  Unfortunately, the Verizon representative was unable to attend due to a death in the family.  Hopefully we can here from them at  another time.

Battenkill Valley Fibers Testimonial

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Thanks to the Washington County LDC, the dream of providing hgih quality custom carding and spinning services for fiber farmers in the County is becoming a reality. Battenkill Fibers’ unique equipment required very special financing to support its purchase and installation. The LDC was willing to work with us to support the county’s growing value-added agriculture; and fill this important niche – locally. As a result, we’ve already created five new jobs at our mill in Greenwich.
