Senior Dining / Meal Options - Eating Well for a Healthy You
Home Delivered Meals
Home delivered meals are provided to persons aged 60 years old and older and over who, based on an assessment, are unable to meet their daily nutritional needs. Hot meals are delivered Monday through Friday. There is a suggested contribution of $3 per meal, however, no one will be denied a meal because of an inability or unwillingness to contribute.
Update: Due to COVID-19 Pandemic- Eligibility requirements are waived. Any Washington County resident age 60 and over can receive Home Delivered Meals. Please contact our office Monday thru Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm at (518)746-2420 to set up delivery.
A registered dietician and the agencies nutritional coordinator are available to address your needs. Whether you have a newly diagnosed illness that requires you to alter your eating habits or just need to discuss proper nutrition, the dietician can make an appointment with you.

Restaurant Dining Program
Funded by the support of the Washington County Board of Supervisors and in partnership with local restraurants, we offer a program that offers dining choices to Washington county Residents, age 60 and older.
Senior Dining Program
Senior dining sites have been designed to serve hot, nutritious noon-time meals, meeting the federal standard of 1/3 Recommended Daily Allowance for optimum nutrition, to individuals 60 and over, who desire a setting that provides fellowship and social activities.
Senior Farmer's Market Nutrition Program
Eating plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables can help maintain your family’s good health and well-being. Be good to yourself and make sure to eat vitamin- and fiber-rich fruits and vegetables several times each day. This program helps you buy locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables at nearby farmers markets.
The produce is:
- Fresh picked, flavorful and nutritious
- Reasonably priced
- Seasonal and varies each month
- Sold directly by the farmers
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
SNAP offers nutrition assistance to eligible, low-income individuals and families. SNAP is administered on a benefits card and is accepted at most grocery stores. SNAP has replaced the program formerly referred to as Food Stamps.
