Foods Provided

The WIC program strongly encourages and provides support for breastfeeding. For infants not fully breastfed, iron-fortified formula is available for the first year. Infants with specific medical diagnosis may receive most other prescribed formulas.

Substitutions


  • Brown rice or tortillas are optional instead of bread..
  • Dried peas / beans and lentils may be substituted for peanut butter.
  • 1 additional quart of Milk may be substituted for yogurt.
